Eckert Seamans Expands Intellectual Property Practice with Addition of Princeton Member Theodore McDonough

National law firm Eckert Seamans has added Theodore McDonough as a Member in the Intellectual Property practice group. He joins Eckert Seamans’ Princeton, NJ office from Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP.

McDonough counsels clients on all aspects of intellectual property identification, development, protection, and maintenance, including litigation at the district and appellate court levels, from initial case management through trials and appeals. He advises on post-grant and other administrative proceedings before the USPTO; AIA proceedings; domain name disputes; patent drafting and prosecution; and portfolio management, among other matters. He has experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patents for technologies in the areas of consumer beauty products, solar cell technology, and filmmaking. McDonough earned his B.S. from The Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. magna cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law.

McDonough’s arrival closely follows the recent additions of real estate Member Kimberly Tague in Pittsburgh; commercial litigation Member Nicholas Pasalides in White Plains; and cybersecurity Senior Attorney Elizabeth Wilson in Philadelphia.

Eckert Seamans’ Intellectual Property practice advises clients on the full spectrum of IP matters, including U.S. and foreign patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition laws.
