National law firm Eckert Seamans has added Elizabeth Wilson as a Senior Attorney in the firm’s Cybersecurity, Data Protection, & Privacy practice. Wilson joins Eckert Seamans’ Philadelphia office, having most recently served as Vice President, General Counsel, Legal Tech & Data Protection – Americas Head at Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC.

Wilson has extensive experience advising on data privacy and banking secrecy laws affecting financial institutions in North America, South America, and the Caribbean. She also has experience identifying legally compliant and practical solutions on data and privacy matters surrounding new business ventures, regulatory and investigations requests, HR data inquiries, storage of personal information on cloud platforms, and utilization of AI, among other matters. In addition, Wilson advises on data privacy policies, processes, and training materials, as well as develops data privacy contract language and client agreements.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse Securities, Wilson held the role of Global Data Protection Officer, Compliance Officer, and Senior Inside Counsel at Clinipace, Inc. (now Caidya). She earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law; her L.L.M. from Duke University School of Law; and her B.S. from Lafayette College.

“We are excited to welcome Elizabeth to Eckert Seamans,” said Marc Stein, Member-In-Charge of Eckert Seamans’ Philadelphia office. “Her extensive data privacy knowledge will be a valuable resource for the Cybersecurity, Data Protection, & Privacy practice group, as well as for clients served by a number of other practice groups at the firm.”

Wilson’s arrival coincides with the addition of Nicholas Pasalides to Eckert Seamans’ White Plains, NY office this week, and follows several other attorney additions to the firm in recent months, including Matthew Gill and Brett Powers in Pittsburgh; John Coleman in Philadelphia; and Lisa Bell in Washington, D.C. Lawyers in the firm’s Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Privacy practice group understand data security and privacy requirements across a variety of industries and sectors, guiding clients through all stages of breach matters, including prevention and compliance, response and notification, government investigations and regulatory response, and litigation.
