Mark A. Mazza

Overview

Mark Mazza is a registered patent attorney and focuses his practice in the area of intellectual property portfolio procurement, management and development. With a strong technical background in Biology and Chemistry, Mark prepares and prosecutes trademark, copyright, and patent applications in the United States and abroad. In addition to filing applications for intellectual property protection, Mark regularly assists his corporate colleagues with IP related issues and IP due diligence during M&A deals.  He also negotiates and drafts IP agreements that include license agreements, assignment agreements, SaaS agreements, software development and evaluation agreements, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, research and development agreements, and consulting agreements.

Mark provides counsel to clients big and small, including pharmaceutical, manufacturing and biotechnology companies, as well as major universities, non-profit entities, venture capital backed start-ups, and investors.

He takes pride in assisting clients with developing and implementing comprehensive, longstanding business strategies for acquiring and protecting various intellectual property rights, all while simultaneously maximizing the value of those IP assets.
