February 27, 2023

National law firm Eckert Seamans continues the growth of its Philadelphia office with the arrival of Associate Joshua A.M. Boyle in the Intellectual Property practice. He joins Eckert Seamans from Boudwin Intellectual Property Law.

Boyle advises a diverse base of clients on trademark, copyright, patent, and business formation matters, including drafting and prosecuting trademark applications; representing clients in Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings; drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications; negotiating license and assignment agreements; and conducting infringement analyses and freedom to operate opinions. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.S. from Grove City College.

Boyle’s arrival closely follows the additions of cybersecurity Senior Attorney Elizabeth Wilson and intellectual property Member Ted McDonough in the firm’s Princeton office earlier this month.

Eckert Seamans’ Intellectual Property practice advises clients on the full spectrum of IP matters, including U.S. and foreign patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition laws. The group practices in many forums, including state and federal courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Copyright Office, foreign intellectual property offices, and the International Trade Commission. The practice was nationally ranked for Litigation – Intellectual Property and Trademark Law in the 2023 edition of the U.S. NewsBest Lawyers “Best Law Firms” report.
