June 11, 2026

Three practice groups at national law firm Eckert Seamans have been recognized in The Legal 500 2026 Edition, including the firm’s Construction, Corporate, and Commercial Litigation practices.

The Legal 500 is a comprehensive research guide that highlights the practice area teams and attorneys who are providing the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel around the world. Research is based on feedback from more than 300,000 clients worldwide, submissions from law firms, and interviews with leading private practice lawyers.

Eckert Seamans was recognized in the following United States categories:

Construction (including construction litigation) – Tier 5

The guide states that “acting for a diverse client base of developers, contractors, and design professionals on both private and public sector developments, Eckert Seamans is well geared to handle the full spectrum of contentious construction mandates.” CEO Scott Cessar was named among “Leading Partners,” and Members Tim Grieco, Christopher Opalinski, and Scott Bowan were also recommended.

M&A: middle-market ($0-250m) – Tier 3

The guide highlights the firm’s M&A team as “highly experienced at handling a range of middle-market mergers, acquisitions, transactions, negotiations, and debt financings within the healthcare, technology, real estate, and manufacturing sectors.” Corporate Chair Ernie Holtzheimer and Member Steve Foxman are recommended and noted as “accessing clients on a national scale, ranging from small local businesses to major US enterprises.”

General commercial disputes: mid-market ($0-250m) – Firms to Watch

The guide notes that the firm’s commercial litigation practice group “provides its clients with a full range of counseling, litigation, and dispute resolution services nationwide in both federal, state, and specialized business courts” and recommends Philadelphia-based Member Frank Emmerich.

Earlier this year, several Eckert Seamans attorneys were also recognized in The Legal 500’s 2026 City Elite lists for Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. View the firm’s full recognitions in the newly released United States guide here.
