Eckert Seamans Elects Member David Weissman to Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of national law firm Eckert Seamans has elected Member David L. Weissman to serve on the firm’s Board through the 2026 term. Weissman is based in the firm’s White Plains office and is a member of the Labor and Employment practice group. The full Board of Directors consists of 24 members from across the firm’s offices and is led by Dorothy A. Davis as Chair of the Board.

“I am excited to be elected to serve on the firm’s Board,” said Weissman. “I look forward to joining a group of dedicated leaders with the overarching goal of advancing Eckert Seamans.”

Weissman advises both unionized and union-free clients on a full range of labor and employee-relations matters. In the area of traditional labor, he represents clients in collective bargaining negotiations, labor disputes, grievances and arbitrations, and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and state and federal courts. Weissman represents local and national companies, as well as not-for-profit and think tank organizations. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements for clients in a variety of industries, including the hotel and restaurant industry, equipment manufacturing, airline service, food, cable, waste management, pharmaceutical, television commercials, newspaper, retail, real estate, shipping, advertising, and construction.

Weissman was elected to the Fellows of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers Class of 2023 and is a Member of the International Employee Benefit Foundation. He earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and B.A. from George Washington University.
