Nicholas C. Needle

Overview

Nick Needle concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, focusing on representing businesses and sophisticated individuals in contractual disputes, business torts, commercial real estate matters, and claims of defamation.  Nick’s time in practice has given him experience in nearly all facets of litigation, including from initial client intake through appeal.  He has extensive experience preparing and arguing motions throughout the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Nick has also presented oral argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division.

Prior to joining the firm, Nick maintained a breach of fiduciary practice where he assisted defending lawyers and law firms in legal malpractice actions.  He also has experience conducting confidential internal investigations on behalf of businesses and assisting commercial clients with responding to subpoenas.

Before entering private practice, Nick completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Robert F. Kelly (ret.) on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Nick is a cum laude graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.  During law school, Nick was an Articles Editor for the Villanova Law Review and was awarded the Best Memorandum Award for writing the best memorandum in the first-year class (160 students).

Representative Matters

• Drafted a successful motion in limine in a legal malpractice matter on behalf of a national law firm (Am Law 100) that precluded over $45 million in damages from being presented at trial.
