Overview
Lauren Burge concentrates her practice in the areas of energy, utilities and telecommunications matters. She represents clients in a variety of state regulatory proceedings primarily before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PA PUC), including base rate cases, consumer complaint cases, energy efficiency and demand-side management proceedings, universal service proceedings, and rulemakings, as well as other regulatory compliance and policy advocacy matters. In addition to the PA PUC, Lauren has practiced before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and in appellate courts on matters related to public utilities.
Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Lauren served as an assistant consumer advocate in the Pennsylvania Office of Consumer Advocate, representing the interests of utility consumers before the PA PUC and FERC in cases involving electric, natural gas, water and wastewater utilities.
