Overview

Gretchen Panchik is an associate in the Pittsburgh office and focuses her practice on a broad range of commercial litigation and insurance recovery matters.  She drives an active litigation practice representing public and private companies.  Gretchen counsels clients through risk management concerns with a focused reduction on operational and business impacts.  She serves as a tactical adviser to her colleagues, firm clients, and community partners through creative resolutions to multifaceted legal matters.  Gretchen also provides legal counsel for clients in contract disputes and mass tort litigation.

Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Gretchen served as an assistant district attorney for the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, where she wrote appellate briefs and argued in the Pennsylvania Superior Court on a wide variety of cases. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael T. Clark of the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas.  In 2022, Gretchen completed the nationally recognized hands-on mock trial training at the annual Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia.
