Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome member Robert P. Avolio to the firm’s Princeton office and Litigation Division. He focuses his practice in civil litigation, corporate and business law, and wealth planning. He represents clients in industries such as manufacturing, insurance, health care, and information technology.

“Rob is a talented litigator, and with his depth of experience and wide-ranging practice, he is an extremely strong addition to the Princeton office and firm as a whole,” says Bob Zoller, member-in-charge of the Princeton office. “We are very happy to welcome him to the team.”

As an experienced litigator with more than 30 years of experience, Avolio has handled matters involving products liability, shareholder disputes, mergers and acquisitions, employment disputes, and corporate matters for multinational and national companies, as well as closely held businesses. He has also successfully argued cases on appeal in both state and federal courts. Notably, Avolio represents investors in a $1.2 billion ponzi scheme case, in which his clients have already received one of the largest percentage recoveries in history. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Avolio earned his J.D., with honors, from Suffolk University Law School in 1982 and his B.A., with honors, from George Washington University in 1978. Prior to entering private practice, Avolio served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert Wilentz, Chief Justice of New Jersey Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and DRI.
