Lisa Bell and Keith Ferguson Attend National Bar Association Commercial Law Section’s 2024 Corporate Counsel Conference

Lisa A. Bell, a Washington, D.C.-based Member with national law firm Eckert Seamans, and Keith M. Ferguson, Jr., a White Plains-based Associate with the firm, recently attended The National Bar Association Commercial Law Section’s 2024 Corporate Counsel Conference in San Antonio, Texas. The Annual Conference is an opportunity to make connections while spending three days alongside other attorneys from major law firms and Fortune 500 companies to meet and discuss current legal trends. The conference also provides the bridge for in-house corporate counsel offices to identify talented and experienced diverse attorneys to expand their external counsel relationships across the country. Eckert Seamans was also happy to support current clients who attended the conference.

The 27th Corporate Counsel Conference, “Rising to the Occasion: Protecting Our Legacy,” included a law firm expo, informational interviews, conference networking opportunities, panel discussions by experts, and an array of CLE programming on subjects such as artificial intelligence, greenwashing, and litigation. More than 50 general counsels and their staff, along with hundreds of attorneys, shared insights, programming/thought leadership and networking to promote the members’ priorities and interests.   

Lisa, an active panel participant at the Annual Conference in previous and future years, is a seasoned litigator who handles complex cases for business clients and public agencies. She has been recognized as one of the top 100 National Black Attorneys in America and is a long-term member of both the National Bar Association and its Commercial Law Section, Washington Bar Association, and business organizations as a member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade and former director of the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

Keith focuses his practice on representing financial institutions and mortgage servicers in real property actions. He is a member of the firm’s Inclusion Council and serves as a member of several organizations, including the National Bar Association, the Sports Lawyers Association, and the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association.
