Elizabeth Wilson Earns AI Governance Professional Certification from IAPP

Elizabeth Wilson, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and Member of national law firm Eckert Seamans, has recently earned the AI Governance Professional (AIGP) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

According to the IAPP, AIGP-certified professionals demonstrate expertise in foundational knowledge of AI systems, their use cases, and impacts; an understanding of responsible AI principles and their application to current and emerging laws; comprehension of the AI lifecycle and implementation of responsible AI governance; and awareness of unforeseen AI concerns and debated issues in AI governance.

Wilson focuses her practice on cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy. She has extensive experience advising on data privacy and banking secrecy laws affecting financial institutions in North America, South America, and the Caribbean. Wilson also has experience identifying legally compliant and practical solutions for data and privacy matters surrounding new business ventures, regulatory and investigations requests, HR data inquiries, storage of personal information on cloud platforms, and utilizing AI, among other issues. In addition, Wilson advises on data privacy policies, processes, and training materials and develops data privacy contract language and client agreements.
