Eckert Seamans Appoints Renee Mattei Montgomery as Chair of Pro Bono Committee

National law firm Eckert Seamans has appointed Member Renee Mattei Montgomery  as Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, effective June 24, 2024. Montgomery is based in the firm’s Harrisburg office, where she focuses her practice on a wide range of labor and employment matters. She serves as the Harrisburg office representative for the firm’s Women Initiative and previously spent over ten years as the chair of the firm’s Associates Committee.

In her role as Pro Bono Chair, Montgomery will oversee the pro bono efforts across all firm offices, which includes thousands of hours of service firmwide each year for organizations such as Neighborhood Legal Services, the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership, Support Center for Child Advocates, Philadelphia VIP, the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, and local Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts programs.

In addition to her labor and employment practice representing employers before administrative agencies and defending them against discrimination claims, among other matters, Montgomery serves in several legal and community roles, including as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA, a member of the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Women in the Profession, a Member and volunteer for the Salvation Army Harrisburg’s Women INvolved Program, and a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Network, among others.
