Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Law (PFML) Webinar – November 18, 2020

November 20, 2020

No matter how few employees they have, every Massachusetts employer must comply with the sweeping new Paid Family and Medical Leave (“PFML”) law, which permits employees to take extensive paid leave for maternity and paternity purposes or a serious medical illness. This topic is of the utmost importance given the wide-ranging impact this legislation will have on every Massachusetts employer.

On November 18, 2020, Eckert Seamans hosted a Zoom webinar, “Are You Ready? Paid Family Medical Leave Benefits become available in Massachusetts on January 1, 2021,” presented by Walter M. Foster and Trevin C. Schmidt. This webinar will help prepare any company with Massachusetts employees for the rollout of the new benefits beginning in January 2021. The program will also assist Massachusetts employers in determining whether they have complied with the required payroll deductions that they were supposed to commence last year on October 1, 2019.
