15th Anniversary Edition – Construction Law Update Spring 2021

March 11, 2021

This year, 2021, marks the fifteenth anniversary of our biannual Construction Law newsletter. We have appreciated the opportunity to communicate with our clients and friends in the construction industry on legal issues of importance and have enjoyed your feedback and comments on our newsletters.

For this anniversary issue, we are reprinting some of our articles that are more timeless in terms of content and that have generated the most interest over the years. This newsletter, thus, is the one to be sure to circulate around the office.

In this issue: Notice requirements for construction claims: How to avoid sleepless nights; Pay if paid clauses and the prevention doctrine; Tips for owners in negotiating contracts with architects; Construction bonds: Common mistakes and misconceptions; A short history of defective
building delivery damages; Construction Law Group News; The use of pre-project agreements: “The ties that bind” or perhaps do not; Purchase orders and the “Battle of the Forms”
