Overview

Ryan Cassidy serves as the Firm-wide Chair of the Labor and Employment Group at Eckert Seamans. He practices exclusively management-side labor and employment law across both the public and private sectors. Ryan has represented numerous private companies and more than one hundred government and government-related entities in labor negotiations, labor arbitration, employment litigation, and day-to-day employment counseling.

In addition to his legal practice, Ryan holds several senior leadership roles within the firm. He is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and serves as Chair of both the Compensation Committee and the Labor and Employment Practice Group.

Recently, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania appointed Ryan to a six-year term on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. This exclusive body of 12 members, operating under the authority of the Court, is responsible for adjudicating matters related to the discipline and reinstatement of attorneys licensed to practice in the Commonwealth. The Board’s mission is to protect the public, uphold the highest standards of integrity in the legal profession, and safeguard the reputation of Pennsylvania’s Unified Judicial System.

Ryan has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for Labor & Employment Litigation for the past seven years. Earlier in his career, he served as a judicial law clerk to the late Honorable Joseph T. Doyle of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
