Eckert Seamans Advises Needham Bank on Tax Equity Investments in Massachusetts Battery Energy Storage Projects

National law firm Eckert Seamans represented Needham Bank in connection with its tax equity investments with Patriot Renewable Energy Capital in two battery energy storage system (BESS) projects located in Chicopee and Framingham, Massachusetts.
The transaction involved (1) the structuring and negotiation of tax equity partnership documentation for utility-scale energy storage projects eligible for federal investment tax credits, supporting the continued development of renewable energy infrastructure in the region, and (2) diligence on the BESS projects, including real estate and permitting.
