Overview

Pavli Permeti is a member of the Tax, Estates & Employee Benefits Group.  Pavli provides strategic advice and guidance to individuals and businesses, both profit and not-for-profit organizations, on various matters such as tax, business organization, financial transactions and real estate.  Pavli primarily advises individuals and businesses on such matters as domestic and international tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and recapitalizations.  In addition, Pavli advises clients on corporate governance, entity formation, regulatory compliance, and real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing agreements, and development projects.  Pavli provides counseling for business of varying size and type in a variety of industries: including business services, non-for-profit, wealth management, finance, and real estate development.

Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Pavli practiced at a mid-size law firm outside of Boston, focusing on tax and corporate transactions, estate planning, and real estate transactions.  In addition, Pavli’s experience includes international tax consulting and compliance with large accounting firms where he advised clients in implemented tax-efficient structures for cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, tax implications of international business operations, transfer pricing, and repatriation of profits.

Before establishing his legal career, Pavli gained experience as an accountant and financial analyst in legal, real estate, and b2b marketing industries.

• Represented various professional corporations and LLCs in merger & acquisition or disposition of stock/interest or assets. 
• Represented various clients in formation, dissolution, and conversion of their entity, both profit and not-for-profit organizations.
• Represented a client in a merger and acquisition of non-for-profit organization.
• Represented clients before the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and Internal Revenue Service.
