Eckert Seamans Member Renee Mattei Montgomery Named as PA Legal Awards ‘Best Law Firm Mentor’ Finalist

Renee C. Mattei Montgomery, a Harrisburg-based Member with national law firm Eckert Seamans has been named a finalist for the ‘Best Law Firm Mentor’ Award at the 2026 PA Legal Awards. Hosted by The Legal Intelligencer and Law.com, the awards recognize outstanding attorneys and legal professionals across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Montgomery is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group and serves as Pro Bono Chair, overseeing pro bono efforts across all Eckert Seamans offices. In this role, she leads firmwide initiatives that generate thousands of hours of legal service annually in support of organizations including Neighborhood Legal Services, the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership, Support Center for Child Advocates, Philadelphia VIP, the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, and local Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts programs.

In addition to her firm leadership, Montgomery is deeply engaged in professional and community service. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession (WIP) Mentoring Program, a former Co-Chair of the WIP Commission, and a current member of its Executive Council. Her community involvement also includes serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, volunteering with Salvation Army Harrisburg’s Women INvolved Program, and participating in the United Way Women’s Leadership Network, among other organizations.

The winners of the 2026 PA Legal Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 11, 2026, in Philadelphia.
