Overview

Asha Brownlee is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group. She represents employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and related employment claims. Asha assists clients through all stages of litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, managing written discovery, and preparing matters for deposition and trial.

In addition to her labor and employment practice, Asha has experience representing financial institutions in commercial litigation matters, including claims arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other federal consumer protection statutes.

Asha earned her J.D., cum laude, from Howard University School of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in both Labor and Employment and Fair Housing. While in law school, she served as a student attorney in Howard’s Fair Housing Clinic, representing clients in housing discrimination matters. She previously completed the firm’s 2023 and 2024 Summer Associate Programs before returning to Eckert Seamans as an associate.
