Eckert Seamans’ partnership with Philadelphia READS featured on Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia

December 14, 2016

Lauren Johnson from Good Day Philadelphia (FOX 29) recently visited Eckert Seamans’ Philadelphia office to learn more about the firm’s partnership with PHILADELPHIA READS, which aims to “raise a city of readers” through quality out-of-school programs focused on getting children and youth to read at or above grade level by grade four. Johnson spoke with Al Bixler, member-in-charge of the Philadelphia office, and Ellen Bailey, a member of the litigation division. Pennsylvania State Representative James Roebuck and Philadelphia City Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell were also in attendance.

This is Eckert Seamans’ third year volunteering with the organization. Each week during the school year, lawyers and staff in our Philadelphia office host children from the reading program and volunteer one-on-one with them for an hour of fun and learning.
