PA DOH seeks input on temporary regulations for dispensaries and labs to operate under PA Medical Marijuana Act
June 23, 2016
This week, Pennsylvania Department of Health Secretary Karen Murphy issued an announcement that the department has begun the process of drafting temporary regulations for medical marijuana dispensaries and laboratories that will operate under Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana Act. Importantly, the temporary regulations will explain the application process for dispensaries and laboratories–a topic of interest for many marijuana entrepreneurs who have been eyeing Pennsylvania as a potentially massive medical marijuana market.
The department is seeking input from the public and potential stakeholders through an online survey to ensure transparency in the formation of regulations that will shape the newly formed medical marijuana program. The temporary regulations will expire two years after enactment. The survey will be available until July 5.
