Laura A. Decker

Overview

Laura Decker focuses her practice on cybersecurity and data privacy matters.  She represents organizations of all sizes and from all sectors in responding to, and investigating, data privacy and security incidents. She works closely with forensic investigators to evaluate the scope of the incident, all while counseling the organization on its data breach notification requirements under state, federal and international law, as well as any contractual duties.  Laura has experience representing clients in numerous facets of data incident response, including assisting clients in fulfilling notice obligations to individuals and regulators, and responding to inquiries from state and federal regulators.

Most recently, prior to joining the firm, Laura worked at a mid-sized data privacy and cyber security law firm.  Laura also previously worked as an attorney at a civil litigation firm in Philadelphia representing individuals in complex medical malpractice and personal injury suits. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Public Defender for the Chester County Public Defender’s Office. After graduating from law school, she was a law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey L. Finley of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.
