Overview

Jhonattan Gonzalez concentrates his practice on mass tort litigation matters including asbestos and product liability. He works on various phases of litigation, from inception to trial preparation.

Prior to joining private practice, Jhon served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dennis V. Nieves of the Superior Court of New Jersey, where he drafted judicial opinions, engaged in extensive research and analysis in resolving a variety of civil matters, prepared bench memoranda, and mediate cases.

While attending Rutgers Law School, Jhon served as articles editor of the Rutgers Business Law Review.  Jhon served as a volunteer in the Make the Road New Jersey’s Citizenship Clinic, where he assisted individuals in the naturalization process, which included completing form N-900, filing for fee waivers, and addressing any legal issues that arose in the process. As a Maida Public Interest Summer Fellow, he interned at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), where he researched trends in immigration law, drafted memorandum, translated documents and worked with unaccompanied children in the immigration system.

Jhon is fluent in Spanish.

Jhon is passionate about living an active lifestyle. He enjoys weightlifting, running, and hiking. He practices yoga, muay thai, and jiu jitsu. He also enjoys helping rescue animals and has several of his own.
