Eckert Seamans Represents Overlay Capital in $14.25 Million Financing for Texas Powered Land Development

August 4, 2026

National law firm Eckert Seamans represented Overlay Capital in connection with a $14.25 million secured financing to fund utility interconnection deposits for a large-scale powered land development project in Texas.

The financing marks one of Overlay Capital’s first powered land loans in Texas and supports a critical phase of the project’s infrastructure development. The proceeds will facilitate utility interconnections required to advance the project and move the project closer to construction and operation.

Eckert Seamans advised Overlay Capital throughout the transaction, including the negotiation and documentation of the loan facility, guaranties, security agreements, and related collateral arrangements. The Eckert Seamans team was led by Member Eric Asquith and Associate Grace Royle, both based in the firm’s Boston office.
