National law firm Eckert Seamans has named F. Timothy Grieco as Chair of the firm’s Construction and Alternate Dispute Resolution groups. The appointment follows the recent announcement that Scott D. Cessar, former practice Chair, has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Eckert Seamans.

Grieco is based in Eckert Seamans’ Pittsburgh office, where he focuses his practice on construction and commercial litigation. He advises clients on a variety of matters, including construction delay and disruption claims, professional negligence, breach of contracts, misappropriation of trade secrets, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes, and easement issues, among many others.

Cessar commented: “It is a pleasure to see Tim move into this leadership role for our nationally-ranked Construction practice, which I had the honor of leading for the past 17 years. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Tim to advance these practices and continue to serve our construction and alternative disputes clients to the highest standards.”

Eckert Seamans’ Construction practice provides comprehensive legal services representing public and private owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and bonding companies on a variety of matters in national and international scope. Lawyers in the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution group have substantial experience representing clients in large and complex matters in all types of dispute settings and have collectively mediated or arbitrated hundreds of cases.

The firm was nationally ranked for Litigation – Construction in the 2023 edition of the U.S. News-Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” report and was recognized in the 2022 Chambers USA guide as a leader for Construction in Pennsylvania.
