Eckert Seamans Names Amy Snyder and Jennifer Adams Shepler as Co-Chairs of our Firmwide Women’s Initiative

August 10, 2022

Eckert Seamans today announced the appointment of Philadelphia member Amy Z. Snyder  and Pittsburgh member Jennifer Adams Shepler as Co-Chairs, of the firmwide Women’s Initiative (WIE) at Eckert Seamans.

Consistent with the firm’s diversity, equality, and inclusion mission, the Women’s Initiative at Eckert Seamans serves to develop an inclusive environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.  “Eckert Seamans has long championed a supportive atmosphere for women in the law, embracing uniqueness in background, experience, and viewpoints,” noted Amy Snyder.  “This principle has allowed the firm’s women to cultivate careers, challenge their legal skills, rise to partnership, become leaders as well as role models, and give back to the community and the generations that follow,” added Jennifer Shepler.

In her law practice, Amy Snyder represents public and private employers on a wide range of traditional labor and employment law matters before administrative agencies and in federal and state court.  She also works closely with business leaders and Human Resource professionals to develop and implement employment policies and training tailored to their workplace needs. Jen Adams Shepler focuses her practice on corporate transactions with a significant focus on the hospitality industry.  A substantial portion of her practice is devoted to representing hotel owners, developers, investors, and management companies.

The Women’s Initiative at Eckert Seamans was developed and spearheaded by Pittsburgh member Dot Davis, who had a vision that forever changed the culture of the firm. Her vision became reality with her influence, guidance and efforts to create a leading Women’s Initiative at Eckert Seamans, which has grown stronger with each passing day. After leading WIE for several years, Dot transitioned the role to the most recent previous Chair, and current Member-In-Charge of the Pittsburgh office, Sandra Mihok.  Davis and Mihok worked closely together promoting the integral, firmwide efforts of the Women’s Initiative.  As Chairs, Davis and Mihok provided guidance and contributions to the firm’s internal lawyers and professional staff and worked with clients and community organizations connected to all offices across the Eckert Seamans’ platform.

“We thank all our previous Women’s Initiative leaders for their hard work and dedication to this inclusive network and their continued important roles they chair at the firm.  We wish great success and support to Amy Snyder and Jennifer Shepler in their new and significant roles for the firm working alongside our community partners across our firm platform,” said Timothy Q. Hudak, CEO of Eckert Seamans.
