Eckert Seamans Honored with the Chuck Cooper Foundation Trailblazer Award

“Chuck Cooper: Hall of Famer and Barrier Breaker” debuted on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The program celebrates the life and Hall of Fame career of basketball pioneer Chuck Cooper, the first African American ever drafted by an NBA team, as well as the tenth anniversary of the Chuck Cooper Foundation, which awards graduate-level scholarships and leadership development training, networking, mentoring, and community outreach programs to underserved students of all ages.

During the program, Eckert Seamans CEO Tim Hudak had the honor of accepting the Chuck Cooper Foundation Trailblazer Award to recognize the firm’s efforts in the community with organizations such as Reading Is FUNdamental Pittsburgh. The program also features Eckert Seamans data security and privacy lawyer Matt Meade, who serves on the Chuck Cooper Foundation Board of Directors.
