Eckert Seamans Harrisburg Attorneys Named to City & State Pennsylvania’s Law Power 100 List for the Second Year

Eckert Seamans Harrisburg-based Member Michael McAuliffe Miller and Associate Anthony D. Cox, Jr., have been named to the 2023 Law Power 100 List by City & State Pennsylvania for the second year. The Law Power 100 list takes an in-depth look at the district attorneys, federal prosecutors, white-collar defense attorneys, public interest lawyers, law school deans, and bar association leaders who are shaping the direction of the state politically, legally, and otherwise.

Michael McAuliffe Miller is Member-In-Charge of Eckert Seamans’ Harrisburg office, a Member of the Board of Directors, and an ex officio Member of the Executive Committee. He focuses his practice on management-side employment and labor law. For 27 years, Miller has routinely served as a counselor to state and city agencies, colleges, municipalities, school districts, authorities, and corporations to resolve matters before federal and state administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. He has litigated to verdict numerous employment-related litigation matters, including claims of race, age, disability, and gender discrimination; sexual harassment; wrongful discharge; and breach of contract.

Anthony Cox concentrates his practice on a wide variety of complex commercial and business litigation matters, as well as professional liability and professional and occupational licensure defense. In addition to his litigation experience before state and federal courts, he also has extensive experience defending professionals and entities before state and federal agencies, including the Pennsylvania Department of State, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and United States Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, among others. Cox serves as co-chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Minority Bar Committee; is a Third Circuit Representative for the Federal Bar Association Young Lawyers Division; and is a Member of the Capital Area Managing Partners Diversity Initiative Committee and Equal Professional Opportunity Committee for the Dauphin County Bar Association.
