March 16, 2026
Eckert Seamans is pleased to announce that Member Amy J. Roy has been named a 2026 Woman of Influence by the Pittsburgh Business Times. The Women of Influence Awards honor exceptional leaders shaping the region’s business landscape, driving organizational success, and making meaningful contributions to their communities.
Roy focuses her legal practice on handling complex commercial and product liability matters. She represents public and private corporations, partnerships, and individuals in federal and state courts in a variety of matters, including contract and employment disputes, regulatory compliance, pharmaceutical defense, environmental claims, and litigation arising out of complex commercial transactions.
In addition to her legal practice, Roy is deeply committed to community impact. She is the founder of Neighbors for Neighbors (N4N), a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the holiday season brighter for local children by fulfilling their holiday wish lists. Through the generosity of individuals and businesses throughout Pittsburgh, N4N provides gifts for approximately 700 children each year.
Roy is also actively involved in United for Health, a nonprofit founded by her daughter, Chloe, dedicated to ensuring access to healthcare, education, and proper nutrition for individuals living in Bawjiase, Ghana. Through these organizations, Roy demonstrates the power of sustained commitment to improving lives both locally and globally.
“Congratulations to Amy on this well-deserved honor,” said Scott D. Cessar, Chief Executive Officer of Eckert Seamans. “She brings exceptional judgment and care to her clients’ most important matters, and she shows that the same dedication can change lives in our community and beyond. The Woman of Influence honor reflects Amy’s dedication to being an outstanding lawyer, mentor, and neighbor.”
Women of Influence honorees will be recognized at an award ceremony on May 14 at Acrisure Stadium and featured in a special edition of the Pittsburgh Business Times on May 8. To view the full list of 2026 Women of Influence, click here.
