Delaware Today Recognizes Eckert Seamans Members Among State’s Top Lawyers for 2025

Eckert Seamans Members Colleen D. Shields and Tara L. Lattomus have been named to Delaware Today’s 2025 Top Lawyers list in the Medical Malpractice and Tourism & Hospitality Law categories, respectively. This annual ranking, based on peer nominations from attorneys across the state, highlights legal professionals who have demonstrated exceptional skill, integrity, and impact within Delaware’s legal community.
Shields serves as Member-In-Charge of Eckert Seamans’ Wilmington office. She is an experienced and successful civil litigator with 30 years of first chair jury trial experience. Shields focuses her practice on defending high-exposure, complex cases in the areas of professional negligence, products liability, premises liability, sexual abuse, and general commercial liability.
Lattomus focuses her practice on assisting clients to negotiate hotel and resort management agreements with an eye towards avoiding future disputes and litigation. She represents both large and mid-size management companies and understands the broad range of issues that can arise in the context of new-build and transitioning properties.
