Eckert Seamans Continues Washington D.C. Office Expansion with Arrival of Litigators Nadia Brooks and Michael Thomas

National law firm Eckert Seamans has continued the growth of its Washington, D.C. office with the additions of Associates Nadia J. Brooks and Michael W. Thomas. Brooks joins the firm’s Product Liability practice group from Reno & Cavanaugh, PLLC, while Thomas joins Eckert Seamans’ Commercial Litigation group from Womble Bond Dickinson LLP.
Brooks has experience representing public housing authorities, development entities, and management companies in complex federal and state litigation and administrative proceedings. She also has previously represented corporations and individuals across a variety of industries who were subject to government investigations, enforcement, and other regulatory actions. She holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University.
Thomas advises clients on business, financial services, and general civil litigation matters. He has appeared in state and federal court across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. on behalf of a broad range of clients to argue dispositive motions and attend hearings. He has been second chair in three trials that all resolved favorably. He holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The arrival of Brooks and Thomas closely follows the addition of Washington, D.C.-based Member Elizabeth Olien, who joined the firm and Commercial Litigation practice earlier this week.
