Alexis George counsels businesses in the aviation and aerospace industry on a wide range of regulatory topics. Her focus areas include U.S. Department of Transportation compliance and investigations and aviation policy developments.  Alexis also assists airlines and aerospace companies with intellectual property matters specifically related to U.S. trademark and copyright law.

Prior to law school, Alexis served as a deputy scheduler for the Office of Governor Terry R. McAuliffe, where she prepared high-level event and meeting briefings and handled appearance and meeting requests for the Governor. As an undergrad, she also served as an intern for Virginia General Assembly Delegate David Bulova, during which time she followed legislative bills, researched policy issues, and attended sessions and meetings.

Interests

Alexis has always been passionate about athletics and the arts, previously being both an athlete and artist herself. In the past, she has enjoyed spending time volunteering with local sports organizations such as the Richmond Kickers Professional Soccer Club and Sportsbackers, an organization that coordinates and holds athletic events around the Richmond area such as the Monument Avenue 10K. As a result of her love for these areas, she took great interest in Copyright and Trademark law beginning in law school as these areas of law are often very much intertwined with the worlds of both sports and art.
