April 10, 2019

Eckert Seamans is very pleased to announce that three attorneys from the firm’s Richmond office were selected for inclusion in the 2019 edition of Virginia Super Lawyers: members (partners) Karen S. Elliott, Eric M. Page, and Anthony F. Troy.

Karen S. Elliott, recognized for the eighth consecutive year by Super Lawyers for her employment and labor law work, focuses her practice on labor and employment law and commercial litigation matters. She strives to provide practical legal advice to help employers craft reasonable business solutions for their human resource challenges. Her clients span all sizes, from start-ups to the Fortune 500, in industries ranging from nursing homes, physician practices, and health and rehab centers to construction, travel and entertainment, fast food, and retail.

Eric M. Page, recognized by Super Lawyers for the 12th time for his utilities practice, represents regulated and non-regulated utilities such as telecommunications carriers, natural gas distribution and pipeline companies, and water and sewer companies. He handles a wide range of regulatory and administrative matters for insurance companies, producers, and agencies in licensing, enforcement, and registration proceedings. He also represents securities dealers and brokers, financial institutions and other clients in administrative proceedings before regulatory commissions.

Anthony F. Troy, recognized by Super Lawyers for his business litigation practice for the 14th consecutive year, focuses his practice on multistate regulatory work, consumer protection, civil litigation, white collar defense, and administrative law matters. As a former attorney general of Virginia (1977-1978), Tony is well-versed in attorney general matters and has developed a practice surrounding client issues with state attorney general offices. His practice also includes commercial advertising, tobacco, antitrust, First Amendment litigation, election law litigation, and other commercial litigation.

The Eckert Seamans group joins the top five percent of lawyers in Virginia in receiving this honor from peers and others in the legal industry. The basis for selection includes noteworthy verdicts or settlements; creativity or innovation within the legal process; the number of cases tried or transactions handled; years in practice; position within the firm; professional activities; writings and lectures; community involvement; professional degrees or training; and academic and employment background. The full results of the survey will be published in a supplement to Richmond magazine as well as the annual Thomson Reuters Legal publication, Virginia & West Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine.
