April 16, 2015
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC is very pleased to announce that five attorneys from the firm’s office in Washington, D.C. have been selected for inclusion as “Rising Stars” in the 2015 Washington D.C. edition of Super Lawyers Magazine, published by Thomson Reuters.
The Eckert Seamans attorneys selected for inclusion as Washington D.C. Rising Stars are Jeffrey P. Brundage (General Litigation), Gabriella Cellarosi Daniel (Business Litigation), Robert J. Gastner (Communications), Michael A. Graziano (Employment & Labor) and Nicholas T. Moraites (Insurance Coverage).
To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. While up to 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to Rising Stars. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who are not selected to the Super Lawyers list, but meet either one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements, then go through the Rising Stars selection process.
The basis for selection includes noteworthy verdicts or settlements, creativity or innovation within the legal process, the number of cases tried or transactions handled, years in practice, position within the firm, professional activities, writings and lectures; community involvement, professional degrees or training, and academic and employment background. The full results of the survey will be published in a supplement to The Washington Post Magazine as well as the Thomson Reuters Legal annual publication, Washington DC Super Lawyers Magazine.
