Loudon “Hap” Campbell receives Distinguished Achievement Award from Pennsylvania Builders Association

Eckert Seamans Member Loudon “Hap” Campbell, chair of the firm’s Government Affairs Group, was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award at the Pennsylvania Builders Association (“PBA”) Winter 2018 Board of Directors meeting last month. The award is the association’s highest honor, having been presented to only a handful of members since 1998.

“Hap has served the housing industry for over 37 years with his work on behalf of PBA,” said nominator Frank Thompson, president of Sweetwater Builders of Cranberry Twp., Pa., and past president of the PBA. “He’s represented the housing industry in some its most significant legislative and legal battles over the three-plus decades he has been involved. Hap has certainly made a long-term contribution to Pennsylvania’s housing industry and I enthusiastically support him for his award.”

As PBA’s legal counsel, Campbell works with its members in land use and environmental legislative matters, counsels landowners, developers, and builders in regulatory matters, as well as essential association law and practice matters. He has served on the PBA Industry Action Fund, NAHB’s Legal Action Committee, and is an NAHB Gold Key contributor.

Campbell earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1974 and his B.S. from LaSalle University in 1971.
