Eckert Seamans Welcomes V. Amanda Witts

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome V. Amanda Witts to the firm’s Philadelphia office. Witts, who joins the firm as an Associate, concentrates her practice on litigating complex mass tort, products liability, employment, and commercial matters. She works with clients across a broad range of industry sectors, including the flavorings, fragrance, pharmaceutical, automotive, higher education, food, and managed services industries. She represents litigants at all stages of litigation in federal and state court across jurisdictions. Beyond her trial experience, Witts has led internal investigations and routinely counsels clients on employment and human resources issues.
Prior to working in private practice, Witts previously served as the Deputy General Counsel of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority (PCCA), where she managed litigation matters advised internal stakeholders on legal, administrative, procedural, and regulatory matters. She also refined and oversaw the PCCA’s Diversity, Inclusion & Anti-Discrimination Program.
Passionate about creating and ensuring pathways for underserved populations to higher education and competitive careers, Witts is an active board member of Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia and Philadelphia OIC, organizations that help to eradicate the barriers by creating training and access to educational opportunities and job training. She is also a member of the National Bar Association and the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, which awarded her with the President’s Award for Service & Leadership.
Witts earned her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center (2010), where she served as executive articles editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law and Modern Critical Perspectives. She received her B.S., summa cum laude, from Hampton University (2007).
