Eckert Seamans welcomes TaeRa Franklin to White Plains office and Business Division

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome associate TaeRa Franklin to the firm’s White Plains office and Business Division. She focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution, patent litigation, and licensing. She prepares and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications in the electrical, electronics, software, optics, electromechanical, and computer fields, and litigates patent matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, Internal Trade Commission, District courts, and Courts of Appeals. Franklin is also experienced in trademark litigation and opinions.

Previously, Franklin prosecuted patents for standards-setting clients at a large national law firm in Colorado and at two IP boutique firms in Cleveland and Manhattan. She began her legal career as a law clerk to The Honorable Adlai S. Hardin, Jr. at Southern District of New York, and has an extensive bankruptcy litigation experience.

Franklin earned her J.D. at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. She holds a B.E. in electrical engineering from the City College of New York and B.A. degrees in English and justice and peace studies from the University of St. Thomas.
