Eckert Seamans welcomes Shannon A. Kapadia as an associate in the firm’s Richmond office and Litigation Division

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome Shannon A. Kapadia as an associate in the firm’s Richmond office and Litigation Division. She concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, including labor and employment and insurance coverage matters.

Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Kapadia was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judges of Henrico County Circuit Court in the 14th Judicial Circuit of Virginia.

Kapadia is a member of the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association and the Richmond Bar Association. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2018 from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she earned an Intellectual Property Law Concentration with Distinction. She earned her B.S. in 2014 from the University of Richmond.

In law school, she served an articles and comments editor of the University of Richmond Law Review and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board. Additionally, she served as a student attorney in the Intellectual Property Clinic, where she assisted small-businesses and start-ups in their trademark and copyright registrations. She also received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Trademark & Unfair Competition Law, Legislation & Regulation, and Agency & Partnership and received the Harry L. Carrico Center Pro Bono Certificate from the University of Richmond School of Law.
