Eckert Seamans welcomes Alex Marriott to Washington office and Aviation Group

Eckert Seamans welcomes Alexander T. Marriott to its Washington office. He is an associate in the Aviation Group, focusing on aviation regulatory and policy matters, and competition issues within the aviation industry.
Marriott counsels and represents airlines and airports and related industries on a wide range of matters before the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP), and the Department of State (DOS). He has experience advising on the startups of new airlines, obtaining economic authority for airlines, and addressing issues under international bilateral aviation agreements and aviation treaties. In addition, he also advises airlines on competition issues, enforcement and fitness matters, and day-to-day matters, including regulatory compliance, important rulemakings, and international route authority.
Prior to joining, Eckert Seamans, Marriott was an associate a boutique aviation law firm, where he represented airlines and airports in regulatory matters.
Marriott is a 2008 graduate of Providence College, and a 2014 graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where he graduated with honors. Before graduating law school Marriott worked for the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Trade Commission.
