Eckert Seamans Strengthens Commercial Litigation Practice with Arrival of Lisa A. Bell

Previously Recognized as a Top 100 Black Attorney in America, Bell Joins as Member

Eckert Seamans announced today an additional expansion to its growing Washington, D.C. presence with the arrival of Lisa A. Bell. She joins the firm’s Litigation practice recently from Best Best & Krieger LLP.

As a partner at Best Best & Krieger LLP, Bell built upon her extensive experience with law firms defending private sector employers and government contractor clients in the areas of commercial law, constitutional torts, employment law, government contracts, regulatory/compliance, and litigation matters. She developed a federal regulatory practice working with public agencies and municipalities, both locally and throughout the country, focusing on telecommunications and broadband issues.  Her niche is crafting novel and creative remedial plans to protect clients and their business in local and high profile cases alike.

Bell previously served as a senior counsel and trial attorney in the D.C. Office of the Attorney General, where she managed, tried, and supervised more than 100 matters. She also served as general counsel to the D.C. deputy mayor for Planning and Economic Development and senior legal advisor to the D.C. zoning administrator. Her litigation experience includes federal and state court as well as administrative boards and federal agency reviews, such as U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Program Compliance and alternative dispute resolution forums like mediation and arbitration.
