Eckert Seamans announces practice leadership changes

PITTSBURGH (October 3, 2016) – The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC recently announced changes to its practice group leadership. Wendy West Feinstein joins Dennis P. Ziemba as the newly appointed co-chairs of the firm’s Product Liability practice. Feinstein will also lead the firm’s Life Sciences practice. In addition, Daniel B. McLane was appointed chair of the Commercial Litigation group in Pittsburgh.

About the new leadership
Feinstein is co-chair of the firm’s Product Liability Group and also leads Eckert Seamans’ Life Sciences practice. She has over 20 years of experience helping companies resolve disputes through negotiation and/or litigation. Feinstein defends clients in pharmaceutical product liability cases. She also represents corporate clients in contract disputes, business torts, false claims act cases, and intellectual property disputes. Her varied experience includes representing employers in employment disputes and foreign countries in litigation in the United States. While the majority of Feinstein’s practice is litigation, she has served as outside general counsel for clients and regularly counsels clients to develop business strategies and solutions to prevent litigation or resolve matters outside of court or arbitration.
Ziemba is co-chair of the firm’s Product Liability Group. He is a trial lawyer with a diverse civil practice, focusing on product liability litigation and other tort actions. Ziemba represents manufacturers of automobiles, automotive component parts, consumer products, industrial equipment, and motorcycles in civil litigation actions. Ziemba also serves as regional counsel for a national motorcycle manufacturer and national coordinating counsel for a national plumbing component manufacturer. He has extensive experience in successfully handling mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials, and regularly appears in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.
McLane is chair of the firm’s Pittsburgh Commercial Litigation Group. He has extensive experience representing corporate companies in complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, business torts, energy litigation, oil and gas disputes, commercial lease disputes, professional liability, and business dissolution matters as lead trial counsel in state and federal courts across the country and before the American Arbitration Association. McLane’s practice actively involves the counseling of businesses on a broad range of commercial matters, including the drafting and advising on commercial contracts, natural gas exploration, and corporate governance.
