What led you to pursue a career in law?
My husband would say because I like to argue. But I’m really not sure. I guess it started with my interest in the history of the U.S. government. One of the earliest books I remember asking my mom for was one that included all of the founding documents of the country. Originally, I was thinking I’d get into politics at some point as well, but that interest decreased over the years.
What do you enjoy most about your practice?
To be honest, it’s the people I work with. I’ve been with Eckert Seamans for the past 12 years and the people have been the best part. I have a support system in my practice group which really helps when times get tough.
What is the last TV show you binge-watched?
Grace and Frankie (Netflix original show) with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Lily Tomlin just cracks me up.
What’s something on your bucket list?
Hike to Mt. Everest’s Base Camp.
What’s your most memorable trip or vacation?
It’s a tie: South African Safari and trip to Machu Picchu/Galapagos Islands.
What song instantly puts you in a good mood?
Basically anything by Pearl Jam.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
It sounds like a cliché but I’ve known I wanted to be lawyer since I was a little kid. I even wrote in the third grade that I was going to be a lawyer (along with the first woman president LOL). So I’ve conquered the first half of that goal, at least.
