Chris Bennett, vice chair of the Hospitality and Gaming Group at Eckert Seamans, joined the firm’s Washington, D.C., office in 2015. He grew up in McLean, Virginia, and now lives in Vienna, Virginia, with his family. He and his wife Angelique have four children – a son who is a sophomore at UCLA, a daughter who is a freshman at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, a daughter who is in eighth grade, and a son who is in seventh grade. Chris and his wife also regularly have foster children living in their home.
Chris is a general corporate attorney with a significant focus on the hospitality and gaming industries. He joined the firm following a 16-year tenure at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a manager of more than 450 hotels across North America, Europe, and Asia. Chris was chief administrative officer and general counsel of Interstate, overseeing all legal affairs of the global hotel management company.
What led you to pursue a career in law?
I learned how an attorney can become involved in all aspects of a business.
What do you enjoy most about your practice?
Working with clients to figure out how to drive their company forward.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A New York Yankee.

I have visited 30 countries across five continents.
