Why Eckert Seamans?

You deserve meaningful work that challenges and excites you. Mentors eager to help you grow. A healthy balance between your work and home life. The opportunity to serve your community in a way that suits your interests and values. An office filled with people you look forward to seeing each day. Here’s what else you should know about Eckert Seamans:

We’re all about teamwork

We practice in a mutually respectful environment where we value teamwork and operate as one firm. No lawyer, office, or practice group has its own clients; every client is a client of the firm. This open environment makes it easier for our attorneys, regardless of their seniority, to collaborate and to conceptualize new solutions to complex problems.

Clients like us — they really like us

In recent interviews with researchers at Chambers & Partners, our clients spoke highly of the service they receive from Eckert Seamans: “They are creative and not afraid to think outside the box.” … “They are collaborative and unbelievably responsive.” … and they know how to “get things done very quickly and efficiently.”

Our differences make a difference

We’re a collection of individuals with different personalities, outlooks, backgrounds, and experiences. Yet we share the view that our differences are a positive attribute, critical to achieving success for both our clients and ourselves.

Deep ties to our community

An essential part of the Eckert Seamans difference is our tradition of service in the public interest. We use our collective talents in a range of pro bono activities, from staffing legal services clinics to counseling hundreds of nonprofit organizations. We approach pro bono work the same as our billable work — with passion, dedication, and an exacting standard of service.

Eckert Seamans lawyers and staff also actively participate in a wide range of community projects and organizations. We established the Eckert Seamans Charitable Foundation in 2009 to make the best use of the firm’s charitable resources within our communities. In the same  year, the firm also launched the Charity Challenge initiative, in which our offices compete amongst each other to raise money for and volunteer with deserving organizations in our communities. Lawyers and staff have come together to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars and volunteer hundreds of hours on behalf of many charitable organizations.
