Eckert Seamans welcomes Robert F. Foster to Washington office

Eckert Seamans welcomes Robert F. Foster to its Washington, D.C., office as an associate in the firm’s Aviation Group. He focuses his practice in aviation and aerospace law for domestic and international clients. Foster has assisted clients with regulatory and policy matters before the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), including violations of the Tarmac Delay rule and issues related to discrimination against passengers with disabilities in air travel (Part 382). Foster also has experience with disputes arising from international consignee third-party financial liability and advising on Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) licensing requirements to conduct business in Syria and Iran.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a staff attorney in the General Counsel’s Office of an AmLaw 100 firm, and from 2015-2016 was mobilized to III Corps and Fort Hood, Texas, as a civil law attorney and military prosecutor.
Foster is a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. He received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 2013, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from The Catholic University of America in 2009. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.
