Eckert Seamans welcomes associate Eli Granek to its Philadelphia office. His practice focuses on mass tort and construction litigation. In his mass tort practice, Granek defends employers, manufacturers, contractors, and property owners in cases involving complex exposure claims. His familiarity with epidemiology, medicine, and past and present regulatory schemes enables him to understand clients’ needs, identify potential pitfalls, and advocate effectively on clients’ behalf. He is particularly knowledgeable about the science and regulatory history related to asbestos litigation and talc litigation.
Granek also has experience litigating complex construction-casualty cases. He has successfully defended developers, general contractors, and subcontractors against tort claims, and has designed and executed both litigation and non-litigation strategies to enforce indemnification and additional-insured contract provisions. In addition, Granek has helped clients utilize contracts to prospectively reduce their potential liability and litigation risk.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Philadelphia Bar Association. Granek earned his J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, in 2013, and his B.A. from City University of New York Queens College in 2009.
