Eckert Seamans welcomes Derek Illar to Pittsburgh office

Eckert Seamans welcomes Derek Illar to its Pittsburgh office as an associate in the Labor and Employment group.
He has significant experience representing clients in court proceedings and before administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Department of Labor, the Department of Labor and Industry, and the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review. In addition to litigation, Illar counsels employers to ensure their compliance with federal, state, and local laws. He also serves as a private mediator and as an Instructor in the Professional Studies Department at California University of Pennsylvania.
Illar earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2009 as well as a Certificate of International & Comparative Law. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College in 2005.
