Jacobs-Meadway Serves as Planning Chair and Faculty for ALI-ABA Intellectual Property Seminar
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC today
announced that attorney Roberta Jacobs-Meadway recently served as the
planning chair and as faculty for the American Law Institute-American Bar
Association (“ALI-ABA”) live video webcast, Trademark Law: What's New,
on June 18, 2008.
Ms. Jacobs-Meadway led the panel discussion, which covered such issues as new
developments in litigating license agreements, trademark infringement disputes
and a review of recent case law, specifically, North American Medical
Corporation v. Axiom Worldwide, Inc., 522 F.3d 1211, 86 U.S.P.Q.2d 1462 (C.A.11;
No. 07-11574; April 7, 2008).
Ms. Jacobs-Meadway focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, unfair
competition law and related licensing and litigation in the federal courts and
before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She has also served as
mediator in numerous trademark and copyright disputes. Frequently praised
for her expertise in the discipline of intellectual property law, Ms.
Jacobs-Meadway has been recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers
for Business as one of the “Leaders in Their Field” in the area of
intellectual property law in the 2003 through 2007 editions. She is ranked in
the top tier of intellectual property attorneys in Pennsylvania and is referred to as “the preeminent
trademark attorney in Pennsylvania.” The publication also wrote,
“According to interviewees ‘no one in the city knows more about copyright’ than
Roberta Jacobs-Meadway.” She has also been honored by Law & Politics
Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine among the “Top 50 Women

Jacobs-Meadway earned her law degree from Rutgers University of School of Law
