Eckert Seamans and Attorneys Achieve Top Rankings in 2008 Chambers USA Guide
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC today
announced that seven of its lawyers have been ranked by their peers and clients
as leaders in their respective fields, including Bankruptcy/Restructuring,
Intellectual Property and Litigation, in the recently published Chambers USA:
America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2008 rankings guide. In
addition, the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice was recognized for
excellence, with clients noting the value the “accessible and timely attorneys”
who “consistently produce great work” provided to them.
Chambers’ selection process is based on interviews with in-house law
departments and with other attorneys around the country. The rankings are
based on qualities such as technical legal ability, professional conduct,
commitment, client service and commercial awareness. Copies of the guide
are distributed nationally and internationally to help firms and clients to
identify the best attorneys in their respective disciplines and markets.
Law firms, practice groups and individual lawyers are ranked by state, according
to a tiered scale of one to six.
“We are very proud of our Bankruptcy & Restructuring and Intellectual
Property groups and those members of our firm who were recognized by Chambers
& Partners,” said Tim Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of Eckert Seamans.
“Because these rankings include the opinions of in-house counsel, they show that
our attorneys’ commitment to clients has been the key to our firm building its
reputation for providing the highest levels of legal counsel and client
service.”
Individual firm members who received high rankings from the guide
include:
